Duneland Schools - 2025 Referendum Tax Bill Impact

On November 4, 2025, voters within the Duneland School Corporation district will decide whether to continue the operating referendum that voters last approved in 2019. This is not a new tax, but a continuation of local operating support that helps fund teachers, school safety, and academic programs.

Property taxes in Indiana are changing under Senate Enrolled Act 1 (SEA 1). New deductions, credits, and formulas are reducing Net Assessed Value for most homeowners. That means looking at a tax rate alone no longer gives the full picture.

This calculator shows the effect of the proposed referendum if passed, combined with the new 2026 SEA 1 deductions and credits, applied directly to your 2025 tax bill data. With this tool, you don't have to guess which deductions you qualify for or what your assessed value is—it's all built in from official Porter County property-tax records.

It's a valuable way to see exactly how statewide tax changes and the referendum renewal work together to affect your individual property, using the same data that determine your real tax bill.
